    Picture Day!!

    Share

This is really the first shoot on this scale that we’ve ever done.  So it required a lot of planning, planning and more planning to exceed our expectations.  Last weekend, the dancers and performers at Na Maka O Pu’uwai Aloha needed a great portrait day!  We shot over 350 portraits in 2 days and yes our expectations were exceeded.  We had tremendous help from the girls at the studio, the Keiki Kokua, Ola, Veronique, and everybody else who helped out… you did a magnificent job!  Thank you!!  Thanks to Ian at Foton who’s an invaluable resource here in Hawaii for photogs.  Also, the young Brandon Tabiolo who dedicated a Sunday to help out, and to Jeanne Marie for also dedicating time on a busy weekend to see that everything went smoothly.   And Mike Davis, part of the Black Tie Cinema team for his expertise as well.  My lovely wife has been known to help out in projects like this as well, and she’s great at sticking to the plan!   But she really went above and beyond ensuring that everything went particularly smooth!

Here are some samples that I randomly picked just to have a peek before the prints arrive…

By the way, if your image made the blog, congratulations!  You’ll receive an extra 8×10 print with your order!  Thanks again to everyone who participated and helped out!!
