One of the things most people don’t know about me is that I am a fan of opera. Every popular opera today has some relevance to modern life. Some are heavy some are light but they are all fiercely honest stories with a soundtrack that is at times haunting and very unforgettable with performances to match. My wife and I have been attending the opera seasons for the past 15 years with my mother in law who introduced us to the art. This season was no different. Faust opened the season, and this week Lucia di Lammermoor opens and I was thrilled to have been asked to cover the opera photography for their media department. My good friend Cory Lum, who usually covers is in Japan with his family so I was thrilled to have gotten the nod from Cory to cover. I want to share some random images from the shoot and to invite you if you’ve never been to an opera to at least attend one! Lucia runs tonight the 11th of February at 7:30, Sunday the 13th at 4:00pm and Tuesday the 15th at 7:30.
